The Scouts 50p Coin Specification
The Scout 50p was introduced in 2007 to commemorate 100 years of the Scout Movement.

The design features the famous fleur-de-lis (a a stylized lily flower) superimposed over a globe.
It is surrounded by the Scout's motto "BE PREPARED" - which means you are always in a state of readiness in mind and body to do your DUTY
It shows the dates "1907" and "2007" and the coin denomination of "FIFTY PENCE".
Silver Proof condition coins were also issued by The Royal Mint for coin collectors. The Silver Proof Piedfort 50p coin (double thickness) included a COA with scouts pictured on the front and the words, "Scouts, 100 Years of Adventure".
The Proof and Piedfort versions of this coin were in a coin capsule and included a small box.

This coin is popular among UK coin collectors and can sell for more than it's 50 pence face value.
